April 5, 08:
At last a Beta, we're now at build 2.2.5 - gone are tags, owners, places and links - all replaced with proper relations (using the N-triples concept of W3C RDF - Semantic Web methods). This should make building easier and the depth of queries much stronger.

Reports and account reports can now be tweaked when invoked for sort order and point-of-time or time-period (where that makes sense). Layout and interfaces have been much changed with what we think is a much better L&F as usability.
We're solidifying every day now - and we even hid a few features so as to make it simpler.
Next "little" feature to come any day now is the ability to copy and paste anything in the builder interface - create a complicated flow, report or thing, copy it and tweak. Would speed up the building process tremendously. Say you designed the Account reports to follow UK GAAP, now copy and paste the whole thing, tweak to US GAAP and within a couple of hours you have all history in both as well as ability to get both for the future.

August 23, 07:
Time flies, we're now at build 2.1.56 - much cleanup and many new features later.
New back-end still in implementation as it was coupled with some other major changes as well, in fact a full fork to a multi-tenacity server based branch with web based DB management for full web based service on our servers if need be.
Something that will simplify support, help and pilot projects in the beginning even if the final system ends up in-house.

December 9, 06:
We're now at build 2.1.39 - with new Ajax front end speeding up things tremendously. Definitely 10% on the path towards better usability.
We have also changed the Builder interface slightly to simplify building - one Tab at a time, left to right.
New back-end in implementation, expect end of this month.
Two new programmers on board so looks like we're on track to a Commercial Beta in January.

July 11, 06:
We're now at build 2.1.13 - in a new 2.1 branch after some database rewrite for the better. Actually to get historical browsing perfected - which is now quite amazing. Pick a date and time (to the minute) and look at the system or the data at that exact moment in time. Combine with multiple tags for further filtering and you have some potential innovative ways at looking at reports!
We have started a few first skunk work / pilot projects and many helping hands are playing/struggling (it is not easy as forewarned!) with the system adding to the list of functions to be added underway.
Good thing the system is growing smaller and more efficient - big rewrites takes a couple of weeks, functions can be added in hours.
Adding functions makes the system a tad unstable at times but we'll holding back on the freeze -> stabilise + interface tweaks as long as we can.
Expecting a stable beta mid October and commercial release six weeks thereafter - about'ish. But it is good enough for pilot / skunk work projects as it is so no holding back there!

March 22, 06:
Fixing up a "pre-release" for a few system integrators and IT consultants for testing, getting their heads around the system and general feedback - probably ready in a day or two. That would be build 35 or 36, now also for Windows.
[Note: Nick observantly saw that I promised never to use "pre-" anything... ehem, as of now it's a works-nicely-but-with-more-stuff-under-way version]

March 22, 06:
Being enthusiastic and sometimes pig-headed blunders happens... I'll start keeping a log on such here :)

March 2, 06:
Good progress, seeing end of tunnel. We're on build 2.0.30 now. Lots of playing when building models, SimBusiness in fact :)
Doing a demo or two, getting feed-back, good fun. Read more here, here, here and here!

February 6, 06:
The system works. We're on build 2.0.24 now and have a rough list of twenty to-dos that hopefully should not take too long. Then we should be more-or-less at a first release candidate.

January 3, 06:
Real tangible progress these days, tangible as in me testing and having fun and scratching my head. And each build has a version number, heh. Not a long list of stuff for Mark and the chaps now before we can run stuff (a bit longer for the true miracle when everything is smooth and not-so-quirky-but-really-user-friendly... hmm wonder what that entails...).

December 3, 05:
A tad of delay registered as our main programmer hit a spot of non-work related problems a few weeks earlier. Found and added a whole new group of very, very good programmers that currently are easing into the code. As things turns out, we sincerely believe this will increase speed and quality. The classic "turning a problem into an opportunity" we think.

October 26, 05:
Still "still not (entirely) there", still a few pieces left. Rolling up sleeves even more. Etc.

October 13, 05:
Still not there, but only last pieces left. Seems that we're in the "inventing electric light bulb in flickering candle light" mode, harder to create the "not yet existing" in a jiffy :)
Hopefully only days left now...

May 28, 05:
V2 is now in testing and tweaking as the interfaces are slowly opening up to the kernel features. Did a small 'clean-up' on this site to avoid a bit of the bla bla as we're waiting for something more substantial stuff.

May 8, 05:
Another "as software development goes, so goes we" - we went further in the rebuild than enticipated. Good thing it gets better than anticipated, negative is of course tthe time it takes. Early beta is the best description now, but can be used for demo if you're tech inclined (read not afraid of rough corners and less than smooth intterfaces).

March 1, 05:
As software development goes, so goes we - a slight pushback, for a week it seems as the code gets better (kernel is perfect, UI's still in tweak for V2). Expect demo possibilities next week.

February 14, 05:
Version 2 is getting close (actually should be V1 as it now have everything, last one, eh, lacked some). ETA for demo version is March 1. Then there will be tests, tweaks and so forth with ETA for 'production strength' product about a month later.
So if you'd like a demo - online/phone or face to face - anything after March 1 is good to go!
